What needs of elderly person does Samarth take care of?
Our care is comprehensive – emulating how sons and daughters would care for their parents in spirit as well as in delivery. It ensures that the support can be customised and expanded as per the specific needs of the family. The support can be grouped into five main areas: Healthcare, Emergency, Convenience, Safety & security, and Engagement & companionship A nurse for old people is also available for elderly care needs, ensuring professional medical attention. How can seniors or their families request emergency assistance from Samarth?
Families have multiple ways of contacting us in case of emergency. In addition to contacting their dedicated Care Counsellor or Care Leader, they can contact a member of the care team through WhatsApp, or call Samarth’s 24X7 emergency number.
My parents refuse any support. Can Samarth help in grtting them to agree
The parents typically oppose support for a variety of reasons like, not accepting that they need support, not wanting to take an obligation, general mistrust, or sometimes even because they do not want children to spend money on them.
While there is no perfect answer, there are several approaches we can suggest which have worked for our clients depending on the situation.
The Samarth way is to supplement the capabilities of the parents and not to “take over” what the parents are able to do on their own. We believe that their sense of independence is a crucial part of the well-being of the elderly. In our experience, seniors are very good judges of character and intent, and once they see genuine support, they embrace it.
I have my cousin living close by, who may feel offended by me taking this help. How do I overcome this?
We all, often depend on our network of cousins, neighbors, and friends to help us with parent care requirements. However, there is often a sense of obligation, which prevents us from reaching out for anything but the most critical of situations. Additionally, they are often not completely prepared with background information and resources to be able to provide the best help in every situation, at all times. Samarth works as a reliable bulwark, providing resourceful support for the needs of your parents.
