Samarth Care Leaders & Care Counsellors

As a family, your primary points of contact will be our Care Counsellors and Care Leaders, who will be designated for your family. To give an idea, 45% of our Care Counsellors have a master's degree, including some PhDs, and 18% are MBAs or engineers. We invite them to join our team after a rigorous process, which includes references, social and financial due diligence and multiple rounds of interactions and assessments. Among the key things that we consider before hiring, apart from their skills and experience, is attitude and motivation behind getting involved in this work. Many of them are also our clients and we extend support to their parents in another city! We also ensure that the level of engagement is aligned with their availability and commitment, and a care counsellor generally manages no more than 2 families.

Why do i enjoy my job as a care manager?

For me Samarth is not just work; it’s a calling! A social worker in spirit, I have had a strong inclination towards helping others, and was given the moniker “Lady with the Lamp” (aka Florence Nightingale) at school.

About me and my family

I lost my father in my early teens, and my mother became the breadwinner. As I was practically raised by my grandmother, I learnt about the resilience and challenges of seniors. My son and daughter-in-law are Occupational Therapists, working with children with special needs.

My Education

I have an undergraduate degree in Home Science from the University of Delhi.

Other Professional Interests

I also purse healing modalities such as yoga, meditation & chanting, healthy eating, and conscious living.
